Scent Work is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages, promoting mental stimulation, confidence, and teamwork between dog and handler. The trial provides a supportive and encouraging environment for both newcomers and experienced teams to test their skills, earn titles, and enjoy the challenge of scent detection activities.

Obedience Trials
An obedience trial at Hills Dog Club is an exciting event where dogs and their handlers demonstrate teamwork, training, and control in a friendly, supportive environment. Open to a variety of breeds and skill levels, these trials test a dog’s ability to follow a series of commands and routines, such as heeling, sitting, staying, retrieving, and recalling — all under the watchful eye of experienced judges.
Handlers and their dogs progress through different levels, from Community Companion Dog (CCD), Companion Dog (CD), Open (CDX), Utility Dog (UD) and Utility Dog Excellent (UDX) which showcases precision and enthusiasm. The aim is not only to highlight the dog’s skills, but also the strong bond between dog and owner.

The focus is on teamwork and communication, with handlers allowed to encourage and praise their dogs throughout the course.
Rally trials are open to dogs of all breeds and experience levels, making them an accessible way to develop obedience skills and strengthen the bond between dog and handler.
Whether you are new to the sport or aiming to achieve titles such as Rally Novice (RN), Rally Advanced (RA), Rally Excellent (RE), Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE), Rally Masters (RM) and Rally Champion, our Rally trials offer a supportive environment to challenge yourself and celebrate your progress.
